MY REVIEW OF THE RECIPE FROM “THE 30-DAY CANDIDA CLEANSE“
Herbed Avocado Omelet
(2 out of 3) – Meh, okay. Needs something more.
Suggested Changes: Double or triple the herbs, garlic and onions so it’s more flavorful.
Review: This recipe was okay and pretty straightforward, it was just SO BLAND. This recipe book seems to err on the side of really really bland, so I’m learning to just double all their herb and flavor ingredients, but I think I might need to even triple them for this recipe because it still came out kind of “meh”.
It’s hard when you can’t put anything on the eggs – normally I’d just add some yummy ketchup to it or some hotsauce, but when it’s plain and fresh like this it really comes down to the right combo of herbs and seasoning, which I don’t think this recipe does very well. I also wasn’t very elegant with the folding part of the recipe to make them omelets, so I just scrambled them instead. 🙂
But, even though it was on the bland side it still felt really good to eat such a clean, pure tasting breakfast. I felt like I was eating things my body was happy to have! 🙂
Just so you know…
I’m not trying to trick you with these links and reviews or am a paid person lying for some product or company. I am just a regular person who’s struggling with a chronic illness, so I thought I’d give this recipe book a try. I’m linking to things for your reference if you’d like to look into this stuff more, but I have no affiliation with any of these items and am not getting paid or have any special code embedded into the links that gives me a credit if you buy something or any of that sneaky stuff.
Just putting this stuff out there for me so I can remember it (cuz Lyme Disease has totally killed my short term memory), and for you in case it’s helpful too! 🙂
